Elbert Guillory To Run For Lieutenant Governor

Louisiana State Senator Elbert Guillory will run for Lieutenant Governor. Guillory joined KPEL-FM's "Mornings with Ken and Bernie" today to officially announce his plans to join the Lieutenant Governor race in 2015.

"I've been asked by many people to elevate my voice and my service," explained Guillory.

Guillory says if elected, his term as Lt. Governor would focus on jobs, education, and safety.

The Opelousas native gained national media attention earlier this year when he switched political affiliations from Democrat to Republican.
