Efforts to find a new tenant for the Shreveport General Motors plant are moving ahead full-steam. Parish officials met this week with representatives of RACER Trust -- the group charged with cleaning up and re-marketing all of GM's closed plants. Parish Administrator Woody Wilson says the preferred choice would, obviously, be for GM to stay. If not that, then another car maker. He says a third option would be to find multiple tenants for the plant. But he says, above all else, the new tenant or tenants must be non-polluters. Wilson says a slick marketing brochure has been put together and is available for anybody to view on the RACER Trust website.
