East Texas Teacher Busted for Selling Meth in School Parking Lot
An East Texas junior high teacher has been arrested for selling methamphetamine in the parking lot of the school where he teaches.
Linden Police Chief Alton McWaters told KEEL News an undercover officer bought meth from 43-year-old William Duncan on two occasions. "We purchased the meth from him here in town and then at a different time we purchased meth from him in the parking lot of the school where he teaches," McWaters said.
Duncan has been charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance. He bonded out of jail on a $145,000 bond. The chief said Duncan wasn't selling drugs to students at the school.
The teacher has been suspended from his job at the school until school leaders can make a ruling about his employment there.
