Early Morning Fire Damages Warehouse

AEON Processing Equipment and Control System, 500 block of Montgomery Street, located near downtown Shreveport was the scene of a commercial warehouse fire that kept 33 Shreveport firefighters busy during early morning hours.
The fire was reported by a passerby shortly before 1:00 a.m. Shreveport firefighters arrived on scene at 1:03 a.m. to find heavy smoke coming from the roof of the building. After entering the building, firefighters discovered fire at the west end of the building in the area of a sub electrical distribution panel. The flames were under control by 1:32 a.m.

This incident required the use of 4 fire engines, 2 ladder trucks, 1 heavy rescue truck, 1 battalion chief and 1 medic unit. There were no reported injuries. The estimated damage is greater than $50,000. The exact cause of this fire remains under investigation.
