Tim Tebow threw for two touchdowns in his last appearance with the Philadelphia Eagles, but it wasn't good enough for the former Heisman winner to make the final cut. In fact, that's what Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said, "We didn't feel like he was good enough...right now."

Kelly praised Tebow's hard work and improvement, but said his passing is just not good enough to be the team's number three QB.

Tebow had been battling ex-SoCal signal caller Matt Barkley for the third string spot, but the Eagles traded him to Arizona on Friday, presumably opening the door for Tebow. Kelly added that Philadelphia will add a third quarterback to the roster at some point next week.

Via Twitter, Tebow thanked the Eagles and Kelly, "for giving me the opportunity the game I love."
