Driving Lesson Turns Into Rescue

Some frightening moments for some local teenagers when their car crashed into the bayou on East Kings Highway near Captain Shreve High School.

Some older teenagers were teaching their 14-year-old relative to drive in the parking lot at the high school when the young girl accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake. The car jumped a couple of curbs and cruised down the hill right into the bayou. The group had to be rescued, but a baby in the car was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
