Donna Douglas, the actress who won gained fame as Elly May Clampett on 'The Beverly Hillbillies,' has died at the age of 81.

Douglas passed away today (Friday), surrounded by family, at her home in Zachary, Louisiana.

The cause of death was pancreatic cancer..

Douglas appeared 'in The Beverly Hillbillies' for all nine seasons of the show (1962 - 71) and reprised her role in a TV movie reboot of the series in 1981.

At the height of her 'Hillbillies' fame, she starred with Elvis Presley in the movie 'Frankie and Johnny'.

Douglas was married and divorced twice and had one child, son Danny Bourgeois.
