Dogs Will Converge on Downtown Shreveport Monday

Government Plaza will go to the dogs on Monday.  Supporters of a dog park for Shreveport's Riverfront are encouraging local residents to attend a Pup Rally Monday at 4 p.m. It's an effort to convince Mayor Cedric Glover to push forward the plan for the complex at Hamel Memorial Park in South Shreveport.  The Mayor has objected to the use of $280,000 dollars in Red River Waterway money for the park. 

The mayor says the city has other needs.
