Shreveport Dog Park Alliance Fundraiser Attendees Urge Mayor Cedric Glover to ‘Throw Us A Bone!’

Lots of folks attended a weekend fundraiser for the Shreveport Dog Park Alliance. This was the first one of its kind being held at Mojo's on Fridays throughout the next several months.

Alliance leader Cynthia Keith says she can always hope for more, but she was pleased with the turnout. And dog park advocates did raise some cash through donations at the door, sales of raffle tickets for a $50 Earnest's Orleans gift certificate and from missed questions in the "Are You Smarter Than a Border Collie?" trivia contest. Sadly, no one who got in on the contest was smarter than the smartest dog breed.

During the event, attendees were urged to send a Twitter message to Mayor Cedric Glover with the message "Throw Us A Bone!"
