I saw something on I-20 last week that terrified me.

I am such a huge animal lover, especially dogs. Dogs are the most loyal companion a person can have. They are just wired to love and take care of you. Over the last year, I have been experiencing some major puppy fever. I want a dog so much. It's gotten so bad that I have started pretending that other people's dogs are actually my own. Seriously, fantasizing over what it would be like to have that dog in my house, what games we would play, would he sleep on the left or right side of the bed...

Ok, this maybe be becoming a problem now.

I just love dogs so much and I dream of the day that I get to own one again however, I know it's not the right time for hubby and I. Mostly, because I believe he likes his side of the bed and isn't ready to give it up.

All this being said, I would never let my dog ride in the bed of a truck.

This became all too clear driving down I-20 last week when I saw this...

Why? Why do you own a dog if you are going to put them in danger like this? You're going 70 down a multi-lane highway with your dog in the bed. Not to mention the dog is not tethered and there's absolutely no room for him back there. I was terrified this guy was going to fall out. Have you ever been in the back of a car when it hits a bump and you get launched in the ceiling? If you're not willing to ride back there, why in the world would you put your dog there?

I know I can't be alone in thinking this, but I'll pose the question anyway...
