DNA Evidence Links Shreveport Man to Three Local Burglaries

An accused burglar is behind bars, thanks to DNA evidence recovered at several crime scenes. 

Shreveport police say 51-year-old Ricky Polo is charged with burglarizing a business in the 2000 block of Fairfield Avenue back in May of 2013.  He's also been connected to two September residential burglaries, one in the 200 block of East Fairview Street and the other in the 9000 block of Smitherman Drive.

Polo was identified and linked to each crime after investigators recovered evidence at the scenes, which was later submitted to the North Louisiana Crime Lab for analysis.  Polo has been booked into Caddo Correctional Center on aggravated burglary, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and simple burglary charges.
