DNA Evidence Identifies Shreveport Theft Suspect

previous SPD booking photo

Evidence gathered at the scene of a car burglary in the 1200 block of Grover Place in August of last year has lead Shreveport police to a suspect in the case.  That evidence was sent to the North Louisiana Crime Lab for testing and a DNA analysis has now pointed the finger at 27-year-old Stacy Hughes.  So detectives have been able to obtain a warrant for his arrest, setting his bond at $25,000.

Hughes’ last known address was in the 400 block of East Dalzell Street.  If you know where he might be now, you’re asked to call Shreveport Detectives at 673-6985 or Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers at 673-7373
