John was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1948. He married in 1969, divorced in 1974 and has never re-married. John has no children.

Before radio, John served four years in the US Air Force from 1970-1974. He became Afternoon News Anchor at KEEZ-FM in San Antonio, Texas in 1974, then filled the chair of Assistant news Director from 1974-75 at KXXO-AM and KMOD-FM in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I'm Dennis Foley and I can be heard on 710 KEEL Morning News and half-hourly during Rush Limbaugh. I was born in Islip, New York, and grew up on Long Island, NY, and in New Hampshire. I dove into radio when I started attending Hofstra University on Long Island and got involved at WRHU-FM. There I served as News Director of Long Island's Largest Radio News Team and the flagship station of New York Islanders hockey. Bob Griffin

After 41 years as Sports Director, KSLA TV's Bob Griffin went into semi-retirement in 2002. Until December of 2008, he continued to be a part of KSLA, working on special assignments such as travel and anchoring sports on Saturday and Sunday and co-hosting Friday Night Football, the End Zone. Bob is still busy because he travels the Ark-La-Tex to tell people about what a good place Shreveport-Bossier and the Ark-la-Tex is to live.  Bob speaks to civic, social and church groups about having "Pride in the Ark-La-Tex."
