Shreveport detectives say an argument between two men has left one of them suffering a grazing gunshot wound to the head and the other behind bars.

Police were called to a home in the 200 block of Oregon Avenue this afternoon to a report that a man had been shot.  They were able to determine that 26-year-old Isaac Thomas had been wounded during a dispute with 28-year-old Scott Knight at a house in the 2900 block of Victor Street.  Detectives say it appears that, during that dispute, Knight produced a handgun and struck Thomas in the  head, causing the gun to fire and grazing him.  They say Thomas was able to drive to the house on Oregon where he contacted authorities.

During the course of the investigation, patrol officers were able to locate Knight at an abandoned house near David Raines Road and Gordonia Drive.  He was taken into custody and interviewed at police headquarters by Violent Crimes Detectives.  Following that interview, Knight was arrested and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one charge of aggravated battery and another of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
