A Webster Parish man is behind bars this morning accused of stabbing one of his friends.

At approximately 3:35 a.m. on January 14, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Texas Street relative to a stabbing.  Upon arrival, officers found Austin Irons suffering from a laceration to his thigh.  Irons was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department with a non-life-threatening wound.

Detectives responded to the scene of the crime and, upon further investigation, discovered Irons and 28 year old Tyler Watts, who have been friends for some time, were rough-housing when Watts apparently lost his temper and produced a knife, cutting his buddy on the leg.  Watts, of the 300 block of Audleman Road in Doyline, Louisiana, was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of aggravated battery.
