Mardi Gras Events Still Going On

Some people think Mardi Gras is a short season before Lent and Easter... Oh, no!!! Mardi Gras activities happen year round locally. Another event to note is the Krewe of Atlas Around the World Party Saturday, May 21st at Camp Forbing on Ellerbe Road. It's their annual membership drive and it's a fantastic time! 4th Sat., Crosslake Flotilla. The Flotilla is a major fundraiser for the American Legion,

Lowe McFarland Post 14. There is a series of events during the day and two Krewes

are involved in the day’s events.

The Krewe of Atlas Boat Parade will be held during the day and information has been

Forwarded to the Captains regarding the event with features such as the Captains

Cruise for all Krewe Captains. More information on this portion of the day will follow

from Cynthia Keith as we get closer to the event.

The Krewe of Elders will be participating in the day as they have traditionally done by

manning the food booths, T-Shirt Sales, and they will have the band Louisiana Crossroads there for your entertainment throughout the day. For more information about this
