The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals has identified a fourth case of E. coli in our state.  The recent outbreak claimed the life of a child in the New Orleans area.  Three adults there have been sickened.  The Louisiana cases ocurred in late April and early May and have been linked to outbreaks in five other states.  DHH epidemiologists suspect food may be to blame for the outbreak and they're workng closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to identify the exact source.
