It appears initial leads in the stabbing death of an elderly Shreveport man have been exhausted.

Shreveport police are looking for new information that will lead them to whoever stabbed 81-year-old William Hines to death on June 19. A family member found Hines' body inside his home in the 2400 block of Parham Drive. The Caddo Coroner's Office later ruled Hines' death a homicide.

Detectives continue to gather evidence into what led to the stabbing, so they can identify whoever is responsible. They're hoping someone will come forward with the information they need.
