In just released numbers, DeSoto Parish tops the entire state of Louisiana in four year graduation rates.

Across the state, about 75% of high school school seniors graduate on time. In DeSoto parish the graduation rate for the 2013 -14 school year was 94.5%, an increase of more than 14% from the previous twelve month period.

DeSoto also led the state with three consecutive years of graduation rate improvement, including a one year increase of 14.1%. In this category, Caddo Parish ranked ninth in the state, with a single year increase of 3.7%.

3) West Feliciana Parish 92.3%

4) LsSalle Parish 90.3%

5) Cameron Parish 89.5%

Bottom Five School Systems, Four Year Graduation Rates -

1) Catahoula Parish 58.8%

2) RSD-New Orleans 61.1%

3) Point Coupee Parish 61.8%

4) Monroe 64.9%

5) RSD-Louisiana 65.2%
