A local dental clinic is offering some free dental services on a first-come-first-serve basis. Well, not exactly free. It will cost you two canned goods.

Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care proudly presents their second annual Trading Smiles Day! It's all happening April 30 from 8 AM - 3 PM. The first one hundred fifty people to line up at the door will get a free cleaning, extraction, or filling in exchange for two canned good items.

A press release from Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care tells us about the event.

This is the second annual Trading Smiles event for Shreveport Family Dental Care and our team of dentists, volunteers and sponsors to provide at least the FIRST 150 patients with a free extraction, filling or cleaning in exchange of two canned goods. All canned goods collected will be donated to the NWLA food bank. Last year, Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care was able to donate over 600 cans of food to help aid the Shreveport Bossier community.

“It all comes down to wanting to provide something greater to our community,” said Dr. Cody Cowen. “The services provided by Trading Smiles help give patients a renewed reason to smile.”

Patients must be uninsured, over the age of 18, and it is first-come-first-serve. Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care is at 910 W Burt Kouns. For more info, visit www.tradingsmilesla.com.
