Defense Secretary to Visit Barksdale

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta plans to visit Barksdale Air Force Base Friday. He wants to thank airmen for their efforts in operating, maintaining, and supporting the long-range strike missions performed by the service's B-52, B-2, and B-1 bombers. He also plans to present medals to airmen who have served in Afghanistan and other overseas locations. And, he'll meet with Global Strike Command Headquarters officials about America's global strike capabilities.
