Dash Cam Video Released in Fatal Head-on Crash

Shreveport police have new evidence in a March 5 head-on crash that left a man dead.

Initially, police were called to the major wreck on Hilry Huckaby at Russell Road. They found a 2000 Acura TL and a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic that appeared to have crashed head-on. Both drivers were transported to University Health, where the Acura's driver died from his injuries.

New information has now been released -- a dash cam video from another vehicle traveling in the area. It captured the crash and has led to new developments in the case.

The video shows a dark-colored pick-up truck headed southbound in the northbound lanes, forcing several motorists to the shoulder of the road. Then the truck hits the rear of the Acura, causing it to go into the southbound lane and crash into the Sonic. The dark pick-up then flees the scene, headed south on Hilry Huckaby.
