A Dallas, Texas, man has been sentenced in Shreveport Federal Court for meth distribution. U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley says 36-year-old Vincent Carter will serve 10 years in prison and eight years of supervised release.

According to evidence presented at his guilty plea in March, Carter made a deal to buy methamphetamine. The meeting place was set in Natchitoches. Carter sold the drugs while authorities were monitoring the transaction.

Carter was arrested as part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Operation code-named "Crystal Bend."
