Folks in the Cypress Bend Subdivision in Bossier City just can't catch a break.  The City continues to have issues with the water distribution system near the intersection of Benton Road and Hackberry Drive.  Repairs will be made today between 9:30am and 3:30pm and the water will be shut off to the subdivision during this time.

Because of the disruption in service, the City is warning Cypress Bend residents that the water produced by the city's water company may be of "questionable microbiological quality."  As a result, the City is instituting a Boil Advisory from 9:30am today until further notice.

When the water to the subdivision is turned back on, residents are advised to boil it for one full minute in a clean container.  And that one minute is after the water has come to a roiling boil.  This means water used for any purpose, not just drinking.

The boil advisory will be cancelled when the water is deemed to be safe by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals--Office Of Public Health.  Local news media will be alerted when the advisory is lifted.
