Minden Police Department Photo

Crime Stoppers and the Minden Police Department need assistance in identifying a white female, who they believe, may have information regarding a series of vehicle burglaries in the Shreveport and Minden area.

On March 8th & 9th, 2011, multiple vehicle burglaries were reported in both Monroe and Shreveport where the victim’s purses were stolen along with checkbooks and drivers licenses belonging to the victims.

On March 11, 2011 a white female suspect drove to a Minden Bank and deposited a $300.00 stolen check to make sure the account was open. The same suspect returned to the bank on March 12, 2011 and cashed two stolen checks in the amount of $3,491.48.  Initially on the first visit 3/11, the suspect had brown hair when she deposited the stolen $300.00 check but wore a blonde wig upon her return on 3/12 when she cashed the two stolen checks.

The suspect is best described as a w/f, between 34-45 years of age, last seen driving a Black Chevrolet Trailblazer which was used during both transactions.  Also, a White van which may have been used in other cases in the Monroe area has been seen parked in the nearby lot near the bank when the transactions have taken place.

Anyone having any information regarding the identity of this suspect are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 673-7373, www.lockemup.org  or Det.Heath Balkom, Minden Police Department at (318)377-1212.
