Crawford is Finalist for Texas Fire Chief’s Job

Shreveport's Assistant Chief Administrative Officer -- and former Fire Chief -- could be getting back into the fire service. The Mayor's Office has announced that Brian Crawford is one of three finalists to be the next Fire Chief in Plano, Texas. The other two are the current Fire Chief in Midland, Texas, and the former Fire Chief in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, Ga. Crawford served as Shreveport's Fire Chief from 2008 until June of last year when he retired and became the city's Assistant C-A-O. In that capacity, he's currently overseeing the city's yearly budgeting process.
