A bull got loose yesterday afternoon in the Haughton area, but luckily it was caught by a group of cowboys this morning.

A 1,500 pound, 2-year-old white Charolais bull had gotten loose from its owner's trailer at an animal clinic on Highway 80 in Haughton.

A group of cowboys were able to corral the bull not far from where it had gotten loose this morning.

Bossier Sheriff's Lieutenant Bill Davis said the biggest concern was for motorists on the roads.  He wanted to make sure no one driving down I-20 at 70 miles per hour would unexpectedly encounter a 1,500 pound bovine crossing the highway.

The bull is back home in southern Bossier Parish.
