FARMERVILLE, La. (AP) — A state district court jury has found Union Parish Schools not responsible in the 2010 death of a Farmerville High School football player.

The News-Star reports the panel voted 10-2 Friday in the case.

A Farmerville High School sophomore, 15-year-old Kebrion Morgan, died Sept 5, 2010, after complaining of nausea.

Morgan had just finished watching film and was about to take part in conditioning with the team when he told a trainer he did not feel well. He was transported to Union General Hospital, where he went into cardiac arrest upon arrival. An autopsy determined an enlarged heart to be the cause of death.
