A husband and wife have been arrested after their 11-month-old son tested positive for cocaine.

Bossier City police say 46-year-old Aretha Lockett took the baby to Willis Knighton Bossier after he appeared to be lethargic. Medical staff found the child had cocaine in his system.

Detectives say during their investigation, Lockett and her 47-year-old husband, Roderick, have admitted to smoking crack cocaine and the child was exposed to the drug.

The child was transferred to Willis Knighton South for treatment. He's been released from the hospital and is now in Child Protective Services custody.

The Locketts were initially booked into the Bossier City Jail, then transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility. They're charged with second degree cruelty to a juvenile.
