The Shreveport Public Safety Committee is discussing the possibility of changing some blue laws in the city to allow the sale of alcohol on Sundays.

Many in favor of the move say that business owners are losing money because of the outdated laws. A new ordinance is being developed that would allow liquor stores and bars to stay open on Sundays. Once the ordinance is finalized, it will head to the city council for a vote.
