In an effort to keep Shreveport safe, the Public Safety Committee is proposing a new ordinance that would double the fine for speeding through neighborhoods. Right now the fine is 150 bucks if you are busted. The new proposal could raise the fine upwards of 300 dollars, and even more if you are caught going over 10 over the speed limit.

The City Council could vote on the measure as soon as their next meeting on January 19th.
