Could DiamondJacks Casino be pulling up its anchor and heading to south Louisiana? That's one of the choices the owners of the Bossier City based boat are considering as they weigh the options of upgrading the local casino and hotel facility, orinvesting in a new facility in Tangipahoa Parish.

Ronnie Jones, Chairman of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty separates fact and rumor, updating KEEL listeners on the possibility of Peninsula Pacific / DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel pumping $100 million into an upgrade of the existing complex, or putting the cash into a new casino, hotel and resort about 40 miles from Baton Rouge.

Jones also talks about the possibility and process of the state legislature changing current gaming laws to allow land based casinos in our part of the state, limits, if any, on those new buildings and what the boats in Shreveport - Bossier have to do to win the battle for tourist dollars against the new, mega-casinos in Oklahoma.
