Despite a federal bankruptcy court ruling ordering Toys R Us to liquidate its inventory, a move that could close almost 750 stores across America, the Toys R Us store in Bossier City will remain open, at least for the time being.

The company has announced plans to begin liquidation sales later this week and close about a third of its stores by the end of spring. Nonetheless, the Toys R Us Bossier City store is not on the first list of locations to be closed.

Of the seven Toys R Us stores in Louisiana, only the Slidell outlet is slated to be shut down. Other stores across the state include spots in Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Metarie and Monroe.

In an open letter to its customers, Toys R Us Chairman and CEO David Brandon outlined the company's plan to close the majority of its stores by mid-April and promised to continue to honor customer programs. To read the entire Toys R Us letter to its customers, JUST CLICK HERE!
