Cope Trial Won’t Be Continued

Caddo District Court Judge Mike Pitman has denied a defense motion to continue Christopher Cope's first-degree murder trial. So it remains scheduled for October 8th. Cope is accused of fatally shooting Shreveport Police Sergeant Tim Prunty. The 25-year-old is also accused of attempted first-degree murder for alledgedly shooting into the guard shack at Southern Trace.
