Cope Due Back in Court
The man accused of killing Shreveport Police Sergeant Tim Prunty is due back in Caddo District Court Monday. Christopher Brian Cope's attorneys have filed several defense motions -- including a request to continue his october trial date. Judge Mike Pitman is expected to rule on those motions Monday. Cope faces charges of first-degree murder for the fatal shooting of Sergeant Prunty and attempted first-degree murder for shooting into the guard shack at Southern Trace.
