On the same day that fallen law enforcement officers are being remembered, the man accused of killing one officer has a court appearance scheduled. 25-year-old Christopher Brian Cope is scheduled to be in Caddo District Court at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon for pre-trial arguments and hearings. Cope faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. He's charged with the October 2010 shooting death of Shreveport Police Sergeant Tim Prunty in the parking lot of a Bert Kouns convenience store. He's also charged with firing a shot into a guard shack in the 11-thousand block of Norris Ferry Road that same night.
