The contractor for a new Bossier City casino project has been chosen. Bossier Casino Venture says Roy Anderson Corporation of Gulfport, Mississippi, will be the General Contractor for construction on the $197-million Margaritaville Resort Casino and Hotel Resort near the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier. The company is ranked in the top tier of general contractors in the U.S. by "Engineering News Record." Its specialties include gaming, hospitality, commercial and educational facilities, among others. Construction on the new casino is expected to get underway immediately and last for about 16 months, with a target opening date in June 2013. The new casino will be the third and largest Margaritaville-themed casino, with one location open in Las Vegas, Nevada, and another expected to open within the next few months in Biloxi, Mississippi.
