Congrats To Local Student!

Big congrats to Georgia Hilburn of Shreveport.  She has been chosen as Louisiana's Elementary School Student of the Year.  She is a 5th grade student at South Highland Elementary School and is headed to Caddo Middle Magnet in the fall.  She is a straight A student and is an avid reader and likes to write poetry.  In her spare time, she swims, plays soccer and is a triathlete.  She will also be representing South Highlands in the Regional Fitness Meet later this year.

 Her sister, Samantha Hilburn was also nominated at the Middle School level.  But she did not win the statewide award.  She's an 8th grader at Caddo Middle Magnet School.
