The Combat Skyspot Memorial on Barksdale Air Force Base has been redicated -- nearly four years after it was first unveiled. The memorial recognizes nineteen members of the First Combat Evaluation Group who lost their lives in the war in Vietnam. Emerson McAfee with the First Combat Evaluation Group Association says the re-dedication was also an opportunity to pay special tribute to two of the nineteen whose combat medals have been posthumously upgraded. Chief Master Sergeant Richard Etchberger's Air Force Distinguished Cross has been upgraded to the Medal of Honor for heroism and Master Sergeant James Calfee's Bronze Star has been upgraded to a Silver Star for gallantry in action.
