Coca-Cola is coming under heavy criticism after running a commercial that some have deemed racist.

The now-pulled ad features a group of white, college-agers bringing Coke to a small village in Mexico.

A number of organizations, including the Alliance for Food Health, called on the Mexican government to have it censored.

In response, Coca-Cola pulled the ad and issued an official apology.

The company said they hoped to "give a message of union and happiness" and "never sought to offend or underestimate.”
