LSU Football Coach Ed Orgeron says the offense looked sharp during the team’s second preseason game of training camp.

Derius Guice rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown, while Darrel Williams added 76 yards and a couple of TD's. Quarterbacks Danny Etling and Myles Brennan each threw for more than 100 yards. But Etling also threw two picks.

Orgeron says the defense also did a good job at putting pressure on the quarterback.

Orgeron says he likes the depth he has at running back. Freshman Clyde Edwards-Helaire has looked good, and Coach “O” says Nick Brossette has also performed well…

The coach says LSU receivers have been taking part in drills that he “has never seen before,” the coach said.

The changes come with the addition of Jerry Sullivan,  the former longtime NFL receivers coach who joined the staff this summer.

Orgeron says “I’ve seen a difference in our receivers. Jerry is known as one of the best receivers coaches to ever coach. He’s worked day and night with us, with the coaches and got our coaches better. Mickey is implementing drills I’ve never seen before at the receiver position.”
