Changes are Coming in the Way Shreveport Trash is Collected

Be watching this week for your Shreveport water bill because, along with that bill, you’ll also get an outline of changes taking place in solid waste collection starting next month.

One of the biggest changes is that tree limbs, furniture, appliances, tires, and other bulk items will no longer be picked up with the rest of your trash.  Now you’ll have to call solid waste to schedule an appointment. Also, all solid waste collected at the curb must be in approved containers and you can only have a maximum of two of those big green containers.  Be watching your mail this week for a full outline of the changes.
