The Chancellor of LSU Health-Shreveport has told a gathering of employees that the med center’s staff is working hard to develop a plan for coping with a big loss of federal Medicaid dollars. And he’s told them that the plan is fluid right now and subject to change. Doctor Robert Barish says the plan, as it now stands, does not include furlows. And he says the med center’s mission of patient care, education, and research will continue to be front-and-center.
