We have a date when CHRISTUS Health Shreveport-Bossier will be shutting down certain services on the Schumpert campus. Friday, September 6th, the Emergency Department, most inpatient units, Surgery and Day Surgery will be closed.

According to CHRISTUS Northern Louisiana Chief Operating Officer William Lunn, the services being closed were previously announced. "We will continue to operate the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Birth Place (labor and delivery), the Cancer Treatment Center, the Breast Center, the Wound Center, the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and Dubuis at the Schumpert campus until we can relocate those services to our CHRISTUS Highland campus," Dr. Lunn says. "We are building new facilities at the Highland campus on Bert Kouns to accommodate those services that are moving."

The services that are moving will continue to be available to both adults and children at CHRISTUS Highland. Grace Home will remain in its current location at 1035 Margaret Place.
