[UPDATE]  The boil advisory for the Central Park neighborhood has been lifted.  The health department has conducted tests on the water, and they've come back negative for contaminants.


[ORIGINAL STORY]  A water main break this morning leads to a boil advisory for residents in the Central Park neighborhood in Bossier City.

The advisory encompasses an area north of Central Park Drive, south of Southview Drive, east of Rodney Street and west of Bonn Street. Central Park Elementary School is included in the advisory and has already been notified.

The advisory is being issued due to the water pressure in the affected area dropping below state required levels while city crews work to repair the broken water main.

The advisory is a precautionary measure and recommends those in the affected area to voluntarily boil their water before consuming it until the health department can run some tests.

It hasn't been long since a boil advisory in the same area was lifted.  Read more here:
