Celebrating the Mighty Eighth

A big ceremony takes place tomorrow to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the activation of the Eighth Air Force. "The Mighty Eighth" serves as the Air Component Headquarters to USSTRATCOM for strategic deterrence, global strike, and operates the group's Joint Air Operations Center. During the ceremony, Bossier City Mayor Lo Walker and Brian Crawford, who will be representing Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover, will proclaim the day as "Mighty Eighth Day." Things get underway at 1 tomorrow afternoon at the Cyber Innovation Center in Bossier.
