Islamic Court Sentences Woman to Death for Refusing to Recant Christian Beliefs

Meriam Ibrahim has been sentenced to die. Her capital crime? She is a Christian woman in the African Islamic nation of Sudan and she refuses to recant her beliefs. But that's not all. Ibrahim is eight months pregnant and her sentence has been delayed until she gives birth and nurses her newborn. She will then receive 100 lashes and be hanged.

Shreveport Diabetes Golf / Tennis Fundraiser Coming Monday

The original goal of Shreveport Diabetes Golf was to raise $10,000 a year to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. Well, that was four years and over a quarter of a million dollars ago. Monday at East Ridge Country Club, this year's event, now the Golf and Tennis Classic, expects to raise another $70,000.
