A Shreveport federal jury has found two local men guilty in a string of area armed robberies. Jurors deliberated for three-and-a-half hours before finding 20-year-old Myles Robinson and 22-year-old Halston Smith guilty of a number of robberies in Louisiana and Texas.
A man wanted for a Shreveport shooting is now in custody. Shreveport police have tracked down and arrested 18-year-old Demarcy Armstrong. He was wanted for a double shooting that took place back on December 30th.
26-year-old Matthew Ray Marsh has been booked into Caddo Correctional Center after being arrested in Blount County, Alabama, on a Caddo warrant. He's charged with two counts of illegally possessing stolen things.
New statistics released today show a slight decrease in crime last year in Bossier Parish. Sheriff Julian Whittington says there were a total of 898 major crimes in 2013, down just a bit from the 915 in 2012.
Shreveport detectives have obtained a warrant for the arrest of 37-year-old Richard Mosley. He's suspected of forcing his way into his estranged wife's apartment in the 1100 block of West 70th this past Saturday and stabbing her several times.
