A senior sociology major at Shreveport's Centenary College has been awarded a Clarence J. Jupiter Fellowship in Institutional Advancement by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
The LSU Health Shreveport School of Medicine has been granted a full eight-year re-accreditation by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education. A team of LCME reviewers visited the medical school in January for several days and issued a report to the full body.
LSUS has become a Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges Level V institution. That means it can offer doctoral degree programs, beginning with the Department of Education's Doctor of Education in Leadership Studies, which has just successfully completed its first semester of courses.
