Castor Man Killed in One-Car Wreck

A one-vehicle wreck in rural Bienville Parish has claimed the life of a Castor man. Louisiana State Police say 60-year-old Eddy Barnes was driving east on Louisiana Highway 4 -- about two miles west of Castor -- when he failed to negotiate a curve about 10:30 last night. His vehicle ran off the road on the left-hand side and overturned. Troopers say Barnes was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say alcohol is not suspected.
